Arnie Davidson, Songwriter: Bio

Arnie Davidson, Songwriter

I'm a songwriter and producer located in East Hampton, CT USA, a few hours from both New York City and Boston MA. I have always enjoyed songwriting and look at each lyric to "try to find the music in it." I suppose that, bottom line, I am very melody driven - melody is the latent, residual part of music that lingers on with you, the hook that sticks in your head.

I've been fortunate to meet some wonderful co-writers online from around the US and Europe, and their lyrics have stretched my music in new ways. I also have been blessed to work with some powerful mentors in this music business, who have guided me patiently and helped me nurture and nourish my craft.

I'm always looking for artists to take these song-children and infuse them with their own interpretation and take them on new and exciting journeys, far beyond my own limits. i also enjoy creating custom music for individuals or events. A gift of music lasts a lifetime.

These are songs that get under your skin, find their way inside and become a part of you. Arnie's songwriting comes from a place that we all know, a place of common human experience that reminds of us a melody stored deep inside our genetic code, but somehow different, today, accessible and infinitely hummable. I'd call it a new standard, or contemporary classic.

Arnie's voice wraps around the music and lyrics. And it calms you. Invites you in.

The music is inspired by James Taylor, Steely Dan, Phil Collins, Randy Newman and a touch of Michael McDonald and Todd Rundgren.
But, you know, it really depends on the song. There is a unique style, but there is a versatility. And in the end, the common thread, is that you get this melody hook stuck inside of you, and it rises back up from someplace inside of you where it connected, and you can't help but hum or sing it one more time.

Listen once, then again. There is more inside this music than the initial test drive. Yet it is so accessible and calming and easy. It's a form of therapy. Indulgent and personal. Take it for a long spin, take this music for a ride. Relax and enjoy and sing along.
